Best working windows this week
Seven days at a glance
Each strip is one day of daylight, an hour per block. Pick a day to see the hours, the charts and the reasons behind its score.
- Good Well inside every limit
- Fair Inside the limits, but close to one
- Poor Over a limit
- Stand down Well over a limit
- Working window
How the scores work
- Every daylight hour is checked against four limits: rain chance, rain amount, gusts and temperature. The hour scores 100 with no strain on any limit, 50 at a limit, and falls towards 0 beyond it.
- A working window is a run of hours that all stay inside the limits and is long enough for the job. Hours that have already passed today never count.
- A day’s score blends its average hour (40%) with the length and quality of its best window (60%). A day with no window is a stand-down.

What this demonstrates
Dashboards built on free live data that answer one business question.
- Two free, keyless APIs (postcodes.io and Open-Meteo) called from the browser, with loading, error and labelled sample-data states
- A scoring model that turns hourly rain, wind and temperature into a go or stand-down call for each trade
- Working-window detection: runs of workable daylight hours long enough to fit a job
- Rain, wind and temperature charts drawn by hand in SVG, with no chart library
- Limits that change per trade and can be tuned, the kind of rules a real build takes from a client’s own job sheets
